Staff

Staff Overview

There are at present three staff here at Age of Heroes MUX.

• Babbage is our Theme Wizard
• Lovelace is our Build Wizard
• Heisenberg is our Plot Wizard

All of us will be processing XP requests and awards, as well as running plots and helping with whatever needs to be done.

It is possible that in the future we might take on more staff.

Babbage

Our naming scheme for the staff at Age of Heroes MUX is 'Famous and/or Influential Scientists', and my admiration of the genius Charles Babbage prompted me to take his name for my own.

Read up on him! He was darn impressive, though very surly of disposition. He's most famous for his work with calculating machines such as the Difference Engine made (more) famous by a book of the same name by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling in the genre of Steam Punk.

My role at the game is Theme Wizard, I am the originator of the Thematic elements such as The Stranger, and Tesla and many others, though not all of the theme is mine.

My goal is to make a site that people can have fun at, with reasonable and sane restrictions, and to provide an engaging world setting for everyone to play in and hopefully enjoy the heck out of.

Lovelace

The first computer programmer, before there were even computers! She was the only legitimate child of Lord Byron, and wrote programs for Babbage's Analytical engine, even though the machine was never constructed.

My primary role is Building wiz. Please contact me if you need assistance with housing, businesses, or other building needs. I also help maintain the wiki, track logs and XP, and run the occasional plot.

XP spending, however, should go through Babbage.
